It was given the name in honor of its previous owner, Sir Philip Oppenheimer. The family used to control the legendary DeBeers company.

Poudretteite chemical formula is KNa2B3Si12O30.  In the 1960s, it was discovered in Mont St. Hilaire Quebec, Canada. The Poudrette family discovered this gemstone. The gem has pink in color. The hardness on Moh scale is 5. It was not rare and expensive until the first stone was got in Mogok in 2000 at an amazing 9.41 carats.

4- Jadeite

Jadiete gemstone is very popular in China. This is the rarest gemstone of Jade family. It has many colours such as green, to yellow and black. A particular emerald green colour is called  “Imperial Jade” . In 2014, American heiress Barbara Hutton necklace made of jadeite set a record for most expensive Jadeite jewelry ever sold. The name of the necklace was “Hutton-Midivani Necklace”. It had 27 large top quality jadeite beads. It was sold for $27.44 million to Cartier, the original designer of the necklace.

Grandidierite chemical formula is Mg,Fe2+)Al3(BO3)(SiO4)O2. This is an extremely rare gem. The price of grandidierite can go up to $20,000 per carat. In 1902, it was first discovered in Madagascar. On aluminous boron-rich rocks, It is found as an accessory mineral.
